Elex, an upcoming sci-fi roleplaying game from THQ Nordic, has a new trailer out that gives us a pretty solid backstory behind the different factions and motivations of said factions for the game. Near the end of the trailer it even gives you a brief insight on the character you will be playing. It does a good job of introducing this character without actually giving away any specifics of your mission, so I guess we will just have to wait for Elex to launch later this year to know the purpose of Jax quest that will “change the fate of Magalan.”

According to NerdMuch?, after announcing a Minecraft: Education Edition, Microsoft is looking to do some more educating themselves. To go along with their new program which allows anyone to develop games for the Xbox One, Microsoft is going to be holding three 3-hour classes in collaboration with the AIE (Academy of Interactive Entertainment). The classes will be based around game design, programming, and developing, and will be taught by teachers from AIE and will be taught using the Xbox One.
The classes are going to be held at the Microsoft Store in Sydney, Australia from April 10th to the 22nd. What is most exciting about this opportunity for aspiring designers is that the classes are FREE. Now it’s simply a matter of booking a two week trip to Australia. The classes are open to people of all ages, but it is said that they would like to catch interest of the younger generation and get them involved in game design.
What do you guys think of Microsoft’s latest idea? Are they just using stuff like this to get people to make games for them because they are lacking the exclusives of other systems? Or are they actually looking enrich a broader audience into make games? Let us know what you think the comments below or tweet @TheNerdChambers. Today on the Australian and New Zealand Blizzard Twitter posted a short video that teases some upcoming Overwatch details! We already got Orisa early this competitive season, so what else could they be bringing to us? The only real information we got from the teaser is April 12 is when we will know what is happening. Are we getting a new map? Why was Kings Row the focal point of the video? Possibly a new event? Are we getting a new character? What do you think is happening April 12th!? Every year a new game to the Call of Duty franchises drops. Some years it’s a hit and others it’s a very sad miss. Over the last few years the Call of Duty games have seen some struggle in pre sales, overall purchases, and players sticking with their product. Ever since Call of Duty has made the shift to next-gen, the franchise has began to take a dive. Some people were recently happy with the 2015 Call of Duty Black Ops 3 that was released. Due to the games much slower game page then Advanced Warfare and great Call of Duty Zombies story arcs, the game showed some promise.
This last year the companies tried something new by releasing a new title (Infinite Warfare) and a remake of a fan favorite (Modern Warfare). This did show to help the company with the remake, but at this point most users are only on the remake. With all of the jet packs in the currents CODs the popularity of the games has shifted. So it is sad to know the games the company works to put out people don’t care for anymore.
There is a saving grace… Possibly. It has been announced that we may be getting a World War 2 based Call of Duty. Which we would guess this means boots on the ground. No jump packs or anything in that mobility. This most likely will help the franchise quite a bit. We will have to see when the game drops later this year.

All of us Overwatch sweaties have bee overly excited for today… Why might you ask? We are finally getting our hands on the new Overwatch hero Orisa! It will bring a fresh breathe to the Overwatch competitive seen. She will bring some much need variety to the tank classing since this is the smallest pool of characters in Overwatch.
One of the biggest questions we have at The Nerd Chambers is, How will this change the meta? There has been a lot of talk on a so called “barrier meta” to hit the game. With characters like Reinhardt and Winston with their own annoying damage stopping barriers will we see the likes of a 3 team barrier squad. Not only how will this effect the tank picks, but you have to think this will also change up the damage composition.
It really makes you think… Will teams play with flanking characters to just avoid and get past the barriers quicker, or will their be just heavy hitting teams with the highest possible damage? You may either see tracers and genjis be wiped from the competitive existence if there truly is a barrier meta on its way, or you may see only flankers in the DPS slots. What will happen to characters like Soldier and Hanzo? Will Junkrat make a return to play more often? Will teams pair DPS groups with Bastion, Junkrat, Pharah to just explode the barriers down as fast as possible? It’s all very exciting, and thankfully we only have to wait a few more hours to let the fun begin.
How are you and your team going to tackle the possible barrier meta? Will you be apart of this meta and play trike tank barrier squad? Let us know on Twitter @TheNerdChambers!
