Yesterday we got a leak via a Target listing for the game, Shadow of War. Today we got a trailer announcement for the game, and it looks fantastic!
The trailer starts off with a woman appearing from the darkness telling, what I’m assuming is the audience, that “the world of men is burning.” Following that, we catch glimpses of our previous hero(es), Talion [Ranger] and Celebrimbor [Wraith], forging a new kind of Ring of Power. All the while Sauron is preparing an army below. The trailer features great cinematic shots and beautiful looking animations.
The game will have an extended and upgraded version of their Nemesis system. It will feature a new gameplay dynamic that allows you to forge an army of your own. Your army “will bring about personal stories that include loyalty, betrayal and revenge” as said in the press release.
Catch Middle – Earth: Shadow of War August 22nd in North America and August 25th in Europe on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Project Scorpio, Steam and Windows 10.
Twitch just announced earlier today on their blog that users will be able to buy games and in-game content directly from their website. The way it will work is that viewers that are interested in the game that is being played by a given streamer will be able to purchase the game via a link below the video player, if the game is available through the “Get it on Twitch” program.
This program, however, will only be available with partnered streamers who agree to be apart of it, but if you are a broadcaster, why wouldn’t you? Not only will does this increase interactivity between a streamer and his/her chat, it is also going to be another way for viewers to support streamers. What we mean is that 5% of the revenue earned in this program is going straight to the streamers channel from which it is purchased.
It will also benefit the viewer as well as Twitch will be giving out TwitchCrates to anyone who purchase through the “Get it on Twitch” program. The crates will contain “a game-specific emote, a chat badge, or some Bits,” according to the blog post.
There are already several game developers that have jumped on board with this program like Ubisoft and Telltale, and the games that will be apart of the program will be announced in the near future. The program itself is expected to start this Spring so be on the lookout.

Horizon Zero Dawn will be launching tonight, and we at The Nerd Chambers cannot wait to finally get our hands on it. Preloading is already live for those of you that are purchasing it digitally. For those that are picking it up retail, Gamestop is having a strange early release for the game. People who are looking to pick up the game will be able to pick up their copy between 9pm(central) and 9:30. It is strange that people will only have a half hour window to pick up the game but it is nice for people picking it up retail because they will be able to have the updates installed by the time the game officially goes live at 11pm(Central).
The gameplan for us is to stream the game as soon as possible tonight. The latest we expect the stream to go live is 12am on Twitch, so be sure to look out for the stream to go live and don’t forget to follow the channel so you know every time we stream. Then we will be hoping to having a Horizon Zero Dawn review up in the next few days for you guys.

The much anticipated sequel for middle Earth’s Shadow of Mordor was leaked today via a Target listing. The sequel will follow the same main character from the previous game Talion/Celebrimbor. Shadow of War will follow its very unique nemesis system that made Shadow of Mordor as successful as it was. The target listing has the game to allow us to delve into the depths again of Middle Earth on August 22nd 2017. This release date is a soft release, so the date could change from the hopeful August 22nd release.
Here is the game description:
Go behind enemy lines to forge your army, conquer Fortresses and dominate Mordor from within. Experience how the award winning Nemesis System creates unique personal with every enemy and follower, and confront the full power of the Dark Lord Sauron and his Ringwraiths in this epic new story of Middle-earth.

In almost unprecedented fashion, Sony gave the official sales numbers of their virtual reality headset. In a report by The New York Times, we find out that the Playstation VR sales are currently at 915,000 units in the four months it has been available. It is included in the report that Sony is very proud of the success because their internal goal for the PSVR was one million units sold in the first six months. All of this news is very surprising because companies openly giving out sales numbers and expectations is uncommon to say the least. Sony seems to be the only one willing to boast their sales numbers (last month they boasted about the success of the PS4) and rightfully so, seeing as they have the best selling system out their at the moment.
What are your thoughts on the VR? Do you think it is here to stay? Let us know on Twitter @TheNerdChambers. Be sure to like us on Facebook and follow our Instagram to stay completely connected with us.
In our continued effort to bring more content to you, we at The Nerd Chambers will be meeting tomorrow afternoon to discuss the future. This discussion will also include a few new people we are going to be adding to the team. By expanding the team, we are expecting to get more articles out each day and report as much news as we can for you.
In addition to getting more news content to you guys, with a bigger team we are going to be able to expand our social media presence as well. We have continued to stay active on Twitter (@TheNerdChambers if you didn’t already know), but we will now look to have a presence on Facebook and Instagram as we hope to extend our content to a larger audience. In addition to that, we are going to start doing more streaming on Twitch as well. Some of us play competitive Overwatch together so you can expect a good bit of that but we will also be streaming playthroughs of the biggest releases.
Some other things to look forward to are, new logos and artwork, coverage of esports events (including live tweets and wrap up articles), and we will even be actively looking for ways to upgrade the site and make it more user friendly. The last, and most important, thing is that in the coming weeks we will start The Nerd Chambers Podcast once again. This was how The Nerd Chambers got it’s start so we are excited to bring back the podcast and we will be sure to add more production value, to make it bigger and better.
Everyone here at The Nerd Chambers is excited about our future as we continue to build, and provide a great source of gaming and entertainment news. Be on the lookout for when we get Facebook and Instagram pages live. Also you can listen to old The Nerd Chambers Podcasts to see what you are in store for when we bring it back on our Soundcloud.

There have been countless numbers of movies that have been released, and for how many have been released a very small group have earned a 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. Movies like “Toy Story 1 and 2”, “Singin’ in the Rain”, and “All Quiet on the Western Front” have had their success to a 100 percent, but I am sure everyone is shocked what the newest movie to reach that goal is… Jordan Peele’s “Get Out” is the newest movie to hit the 100 mark on Rotten Tomatoes for it’s impeccable script writing.
Peele has written a script that is extremely well-paced and executed as it cleverly plays with allusions to slavery and racial stereotypes, as well as audience expectations. -Brian Truitt (USA Today)
On top of his incredible script development many of the critics are praising Peele’s ability to tie horror with pleasently placed hummor elements…
The shocks and the laughs are thoroughly entertaining, but it’s the truth of “Get Out” that’s so real. – Ann Hornaday (Washington Post)
“Get Out” hits theatres Friday February 24th for all of you movie lovers. So make sure to go check it out, and tweet us @TheNerdChambers to tell us what your thoughts are!
