One of the most anticipated games in the last decade was Bungie’s newest creation Destiny. After a plethora of Halo games that the company gifted to us over the years. The games did very well, and it was very sad to see Bungie depart from their extremely acclaimed franchise that is Halo… After a few years we were delighted to find out about Destiny! The hype for this game was absolutely surreal. We were graced with a beta that had an undying amount of fun, and when the game launched the world exploded. All around the first few months of the game did very well, and honestly to this day the game still is doing very well with a die hard fan base.
There has been some rumors surrounding the upcoming sequel such as release date, upcoming events, and what will be new to the game… Well today we finally got to have a small glimpse into the world of Destiny 2. The trailer showed us some very incredible action sequence with our narrator bringing us deep into flashbacks of war. The trailer did not give us a look into the upcoming game other than the fact we will be getting a full trailer on March 30th. The trailer does give us some hype for the upcoming game.
What do you think of the Destiny franchise? Are you excited for the upcoming game this year? Let us know @TheNerdChambers what you think about Destiny and Destiny 2! Come back Friday to check out our thoughts on the full trailer!
Every year a new game to the Call of Duty franchises drops. Some years it’s a hit and others it’s a very sad miss. Over the last few years the Call of Duty games have seen some struggle in pre sales, overall purchases, and players sticking with their product. Ever since Call of Duty has made the shift to next-gen, the franchise has began to take a dive. Some people were recently happy with the 2015 Call of Duty Black Ops 3 that was released. Due to the games much slower game page then Advanced Warfare and great Call of Duty Zombies story arcs, the game showed some promise.
This last year the companies tried something new by releasing a new title (Infinite Warfare) and a remake of a fan favorite (Modern Warfare). This did show to help the company with the remake, but at this point most users are only on the remake. With all of the jet packs in the currents CODs the popularity of the games has shifted. So it is sad to know the games the company works to put out people don’t care for anymore.
There is a saving grace… Possibly. It has been announced that we may be getting a World War 2 based Call of Duty. Which we would guess this means boots on the ground. No jump packs or anything in that mobility. This most likely will help the franchise quite a bit. We will have to see when the game drops later this year.

All of us Overwatch sweaties have bee overly excited for today… Why might you ask? We are finally getting our hands on the new Overwatch hero Orisa! It will bring a fresh breathe to the Overwatch competitive seen. She will bring some much need variety to the tank classing since this is the smallest pool of characters in Overwatch.
One of the biggest questions we have at The Nerd Chambers is, How will this change the meta? There has been a lot of talk on a so called “barrier meta” to hit the game. With characters like Reinhardt and Winston with their own annoying damage stopping barriers will we see the likes of a 3 team barrier squad. Not only how will this effect the tank picks, but you have to think this will also change up the damage composition.
It really makes you think… Will teams play with flanking characters to just avoid and get past the barriers quicker, or will their be just heavy hitting teams with the highest possible damage? You may either see tracers and genjis be wiped from the competitive existence if there truly is a barrier meta on its way, or you may see only flankers in the DPS slots. What will happen to characters like Soldier and Hanzo? Will Junkrat make a return to play more often? Will teams pair DPS groups with Bastion, Junkrat, Pharah to just explode the barriers down as fast as possible? It’s all very exciting, and thankfully we only have to wait a few more hours to let the fun begin.
How are you and your team going to tackle the possible barrier meta? Will you be apart of this meta and play trike tank barrier squad? Let us know on Twitter @TheNerdChambers!
We are less then a week away from the new Overwatch tank to hit the competitive season with! It will be nice to have an addition to the roster to add a little more diversity to the tank selection. People have been fearing a new tank like this though… They feel that Overwatch is going to become Barrierwatch. People in the PTR were running groups with Reinhardt, Winston, and Orisa… With a Bastion. Yeah, we see how that will be a headache too.
It is going to be very interesting how Orisa will fit the meta. Will this bring in a new wave of 3 rank groups with the barrier squad? It’s hard to imagine playing choke hold maps with Reinhardt, Mei, Orisa, and a Bastion also. You will never be able to push through the hold. We will probably see more flying/flanking characters be played more now.
Go let us know what you think about the new tank Orisa @TheNerdChambers on Twitter. Will you be playing Orisa when she drops? Is this going to possibly ruin your current character pick with another barrier? Let us know on Twitter or down in the comments!
There are many upcoming changes to Overwatch that have been hitting season 4. Some of the changes have been the new character Orisa and others like balancing changes. The biggest balance we’ve seen so far this season was the change for Bastion. He was equipped with a better healing ability that allows him to move while helping, and a better weapon spread. So far nothing crazy has changed for any of heroes to render them useless… Untill recently brought up in our previous article No Not My Ana!!!
Fans of Overwatch have been dreading the changes that were coming to one of the fan favorite support characters Ana. The changes that were coming were as follows:
- Damage decreased from 80 to 60
- Impact damage reduced from 60 to 30
- Impact healing reduced from 100 to 50
Thankfully after time in the PTR and a lot of community outrage . The develops are going to listen to the backlash of the massive nerf of this support character. As shown above from the previous stated changes to Ana. They are going to be removing the Biotic Grenade changes, and only bringing her damage down slightly. I believe this is very fair for the fact the grenade seemed more as a support (buff/debuff) ability. While the Biotic Rifle damage is a DPS trait. It was unfair to see Ana killing characters as well if not better then not DPS classes, while being able to buff and debuff the battle field. Hopefully these changes for Ana will bring light to the character, and not kick her from the meta.

Each week we give all you nerds a little insight on Overwatch. The Nerd Chambers current favorite competitive shooter… We have brought you the Bastion buffs, news on Zarya and Bastion getting slight tweaks, and our experiences in the current season. Well today we have some more upcoming patch notes to bring all of you that are currently in play in the PTR (public test region).
- Damage decreased from 80 to 60
- Impact damage reduced from 60 to 30
- Impact healing reduced from 100 to 50
- No longer hurts himself from his own explosions. (Effect added to current passive: Total Mayhem)
- Magazine size lowered from 200 to 150
- Sound effects and VO distance for entering and exiting Stealth reduced to 15 meters.
- Cooldown reduced from 6s to 4s
- Cooldown now starts when the barrier is placed, instead of when it ends
Orb of Destruction
- Alternate fire recovery reduced from 1s to 0.6s
Orb of Discord
- Can now target enemies through barriers
There are many… Many changes that are currently in the test region. Some are going to benefit heroes, and some will of course hurt some of the heroes. In our eyes their really are no big “helpful” changes to any of the characters. Yes the Winston cooldown change will be nice, but not game changing. Also it will most likely not bring him into play more than he is currently seeing. The Zenyatta changes are nice, but again not game changing. Being able to discord through barriers does not do a lot because you still have to take down the barriers. Sombra is probably seeing the biggest positive change with a better colldown with the teleporter, and the fact that she is silent out of stealth will help her suprise attacks. She is probably the most hated character on console currently, so this will probably not being her into any matches still.
Now… The negative. Sadly most of us have not had any chance to get our hands on Orisa, and she is already seeing sorts of nerfs with her clip size from 200 to 150. This change won’t personally effect any of us because we haven’t had first hand play with her yet. So it will all be new anyway for us. We however can say goodbye to Ana in meta… She is losing a good protion of her damage from 80 to 60. That’s 3 shots from 2 for a tracer, and 3 to 4 for a majority of heroes in the game. On top of that, her grenade is now being cut In half brining it to nearly useless. This might be the death of Ana for the meta, and the birth of Zenyatta for meta play.
What do all you games think about these changes coming to Overwatch? Was Ana one of your mains? Hopefully you didn’t golden gun her recently… Let us know @TheNerdChambers all your thoughts! Also go like us on Facebook!
The Nintendo Switch finally appeared on shelves on March 3rd! Well very briefly the shelves, and rapidly to the entertainment centers of hundreds of thousands of Nintendo fans! In the United Kingdom the sales of the switch doubled the Wii U sales for the first weekend (80,000:Switch/40,000:Wii U) to put those numbers in perspective, the ps4 sold around 250,000, and the Xbox one close to 150,000 units.Even though the Nintendo Switch sales were very impressive, this is not the largest explosion for Nintendo and their releases in the UK. The 3DS still holds the best weekend for Nintendo at 113,000 units for United Kingdom
In Japan the first 48 hours are booming with 313,000 units flying off the market, just beating out the Wii U in Japan at 308,000 units! Japan held much closer with ps4 and Nintendo . This is the closest the switch got to the next gen consoles for the PS4 had 322,000 sales the first weekend with the Nintendo Switch getting so close at 313,000. Sadly Nintendo will probably not see the incredible success of Sony and Microsoft numbers any time soon other than Japan.
The last impressive detail for Nintendo, The Legend of Zelda: Breathe of the Wild beats out Super Mario 64 in opening weekend sales! The new game for the large Zelda collection sold around 190,000 copies for launch. Now The Legend of Zelda: Breathe of the Wild holds the best standalone launch title for Nintendo.
